Video Games

I just read about “A Force More Powerful“, a video game that trains people in the art of civil disobedience. What use is that? Well, the game consists of 10 fictional scenarios, such as forcing a government to hold free elections, freeing a dissident from prison, or promoting the cause of organized labor.

Using an entertainment medium to train people isn’t a new concept. Imagine the use of movies as propaganda? Goebbels was doing it in the 1930s. And some folks say that propaganda is the basis of most 20th century advertising.
